About Jordan
My earliest memories of art rest in the mid to late 80s when it was all the rage for magazines to print ads for the “can you draw me?” characters. Many an afternoon was spent challenging myself to draw “Tippy Turtle” and letting my mind wander with thoughts of art scholarship domination. While the scholarship never actually came, my love of drawing and painting never left and Tippy became merely a jumping off point. The tip of the iceberg if you will. See what I did there?!
My work often incorporates movement with minimalist backgrounds that allow the subject to shine. In many cases, I’m drawn to unexpected perspectives and love nothing more than the pieces I can inject a little humor into. Bright pops of color and large canvases make me especially happy.
My husband and I live in Decatur, GA with our two daughters, two Pit Bulls, one very old Maine Coon and a red-finned shark...each of whom provide all the unexpected perspectives, pops of color and doses of humor I could ever ask for.
